Iain Batty is a partner co-ordinating the Commercial Practice in Central and Eastern Europe.

He has a wealth of experience in the CEE region having worked there since 1991 and having lived there since 1997. He is based in Poland but travels extensively through the region.

Iain supervises an extensive team of lawyers advising on commercial issues throughout the region including life sciences and healthcare, technology law, financial services, employment law, competition law, telecommunications law intellectual property and procurement issues in the firm’s regional offices.

He also acts as a client partner for a number of multi-national companies spread across a variety of sectors and co-ordinates teams of lawyers working for them across the region. Iain has been involved in drafting legislation for a large number of countries in the region. He regularly speaks at conferences and appears in the press.

  • Coordinating a project whereby a major manufacturing company made a EUR 1.5bn+ investment into a greenfield plant in the region.
