The COVID-19 crisis is having a serious impact on the economy and businesses. In this situation, public procurement can be of even more importance than usual. In this one-hour webinar, together with responses and solutions from various jurisdictions to the procurement related challenges, CMS experts will tackle different public procurement issues that the contracting authorities, bidders and other stakeholders are facing during the crisis.

The speakers will cover the communication from the European Commission, reduction of deadlines, negotiated procedure without publication, direct awards and alternative solutions. The webinar will give you an overview of special measures and the extended use of electronic means, including video conferences and we will also talk about the automatic suspension of certain deadlines for remedies.

To help you anticipate further impacts, we will discuss some modifications of existing contracts including the extension of volume, duration, as well as the change of contractor in case of insolvency.

The speakers will comment on the legal framework and experience from different jurisdictions, including Austria, France, CEE and the UK.

The session lasts 60 minutes including Q&A session. The webinar is held in English. Participation is free of charge.
