CMS Advises ALPLA on Acquisition in Romania

ALPLA, a globally leading provider of plastic packaging solutions, has acquired a 100% stake in the Romanian PET packaging manufacturer Star East Pet SRL. CMS has advised ALPLA on this acquisition in Romania. Closing is scheduled for mid-2017, subject to the required approval. The parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

The Vorarlberg-based plastic packaging manufacturer ALPLA Werke GmbH, headquartered in Hard, has acquired 100% of the Romanian Star East Pet SRL. The company based in Brașov is specialised in the production of PET preforms for beverages, food and non-food products.
