CMS Advises Tyre Manufacturer Michelin on Acquiring Share in Autocentre Operator A.T.U
The French tyre manufacturer Michelin acquires a 20-percent minority share in the German autocentre operator A.T.U (Auto-Teile-Unger). An international CMS team of legal experts from Austria, Germany, Switzerland and France advised the clients throughout the transaction.
Michelin, a leading international producer of tyres, has entered into a partnership with Mobivia. With brands like Norauto and Midas, Mobivia is among Europe’s leading automotive maintenance and repair services groups. As part of this partnership, Michelin acquires a 20-percent minority share in the German autocentre operator A.T.U (Auto-Teile-Unger) for EUR 60 million.
Throughout the transaction, an international CMS team of legal experts from Austria, Germany, Switzerland and France advised Michelin and Mobivia in questions of antitrust law. The Austrian CMS partners Bernt Elsner and Dieter Zandler were part of the team and advised both parties on aspects of merger control law.
