CMS Kyiv Advises Electrolux on Acquisition

The CMS office in Kyiv advised Electrolux, a leading global manufacturer of household appliances for private and business customers, on a multi-million company acquisition. According to the framework agreement, Electrolux will acquire a manufacturing site and further assets from Ukrainian Household Appliances (UHA), which belongs to Antonio Merloni Group. The cooperation between CMS and Electrolux started as early as August 2009 when Electrolux participated in a tendering process for the takeover of Merloni’s stake in UHA.

The CMS teams in Kyiv and Rome, supported by their colleagues of CMS Belgrade, successfully concluded the agreement despite great time pressure – an excellent example of the professionalism, cross-border expertise and international cooperation at CMS.
