CMS advises Semper Constantia on acquisition of 4-star hotel and health centre in Leipzig (Hotel Mercure & Medicum)

Berlin – Semper Constantia Immo Invest GmbH has acquired the four-star Mercure Hotel Leipzig, which has 174 rooms and nine meeting rooms, and the Medicum health centre in Leipzig from Art-Invest Real Estate Funds GmbH (AIREF). Details of the purchase price were not disclosed.

A CMS team headed by lead partner Dr Matthias Kuß advised Semper Constantia on all legal aspects of the transaction. CMS lawyers have been successfully helping Semper Constantia to expand its property portfolio in Germany for some time now. The team led by Dr Matthias Kuß has advised on several purchases this year, including the acquisition of a four-star hotel with accommodation for senior citizens in Berlin.

Semper Constantia Immo Invest GmbH is a subsidiary of Semper Constantia Privatbank. The company has operated successfully in the real estate investment funds sector for over 10 years and is one of Austria’s largest real estate investors. It currently manages funds with a total value in excess of EUR 700 million.

Art-Invest Real Estate Funds GmbH (AIREF) is the fund manager for the regulated investment funds of the Art-Invest Group. The company acts as a partner to institutional investors.
