Hans A. Lederer ist Counsel bei CMS in Wien
IP expert Hans A. Lederer has been appointed Counsel at the international law firm CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz. He specialises in copyright law, trademark law and combating product piracy as well as illegal parallel imports.

Hans A. Lederer (40) joined the IP team at CMS in Vienna in 2009. He particularly advises clients from the media and music industries on copyright matters, especially with regard to licensing issues, collective rights management by collecting societies and copyright levies. He further focuses on developing and implementing (mostly cross-border) strategies to combat product piracy and illegal parallel imports in highly regulated industries, such as the agrochemical industry. Hans A. Lederer also represents companies (and among them especially start-ups) in trademark litigation and supports them in prosecuting, safeguarding and enforcing their trademark rights.
Hans A. Lederer studied law at the University of Vienna and the University of Innsbruck. As a student, he spent time abroad in Caen (France) and Brussels (Belgium). Before joining CMS, he worked at the Secretariat-General of the Austrian Red Cross. He was admitted to the Austrian bar in 2014.
