Labour Law Expert Daniela Krömer Is an Attorney-at-Law at CMS

For many years, the CMS labour law team has been playing a crucial role both within our firm and the industry due to its high-profile and large-scale assignments. Owing to this success, the labour law team currently counts 11 experts. Daniela Krömer has been part of this team as an associate since 2013. Now a registered attorney-at-law, she will continue to work for CMS. 

Especially in labour law, it is essential to also heed European rules. For this reason, Daniela Krömer not only advises clients on labour law but also specialises in European labour law. She supports clients in, for instance, questions concerning the cross-border posting of workers, especially with regard to wage and social dumping, and also deals with all aspects of anti-discrimination law. 

Daniela Krömer completed her studies in Vienna and Madrid. While still at university, she already proved her abilities as a “lawyer”: in 2008, she won an award as the Best Advocate General in the European Law Moot Court and subsequently worked for Advocate General Poiares Maduro at the European Court of Justice. She also gained research experience as a university assistant at the University of Vienna’s Department of Labour Law and Law of Social Security. Today, she teaches courses in the LL.M. programme in European and International Business Law at the same university. 

Daniela Krömer is the (co-)author and co-editor of numerous publications on labour law, most recently of “Entsendung oder grenzüberschreitende Arbeitskräfteüberlassung? Die Gretchenfrage” (“Posting of Workers or Cross-Border Personnel Leasing? A crucial question with regard to the Austrian Anti-Wage and Social Dumping Act”).
