New at CMS: Banking and capital markets law expert Katharina Grafenhofer

Katharina Grafenhofer recently joined the international law firm CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz as an attorney-at-law in the banking and capital markets law team. Having worked in the banking industry, this expert in banking supervision law and capital markets law now resumes her career as an attorney.

Katharina Grafenhofer (32, born in Upper Austria) studied law with a specialisation in Private Commercial Law at the Johannes-Kepler University in Linz. After completing her studies, she worked as an associate at several international law firms, mainly in the areas of banking law, corporate law and company law. She afterwards moved to a well-known bank group and worked as a senior legal advisor there for two years in the areas of regulatory and capital markets law. Katharina Grafenhofer was thereby able to gain a valuable insight into the banking sector's daily legal business.

Katharina Grafenhofer now brings to CMS in Vienna this experience and knowledge of the needs of experts working in legal departments. With her hands-on approach she will mainly work in the areas of banking and capital markets law and advise leading companies, banks and financial institutions in matters relating to the transactions sector as well as in regulatory questions. Katharina Grafenhofer explained that “My time in the banking industry was very important and rewarding for my professional development, but I never lost my passion for the legal profession. I am pleased that our clients will in future be able to benefit from the insider knowledge I gained whilst working in this sector.”
