New book on Trademark Law by CMS expert Egon Engin-Deniz just published

Publishing house Verlag Österreich just released a thoroughly revised edition of the book “MSchG – Markenschutzgesetz und weitere kennzeichnungsrechtliche Bestimmungen“ (trademark law and other related provisions) by CMS trademark copyright and media law expert Egon Engin-Deniz.

The comprehensive revision of the first edition published five years ago aims at offering readers an overview on Austrian and related European and international trademark law that is as complete as possible on 1,300 pages.
The author puts the focus on amendments, among others, concerning the claim of information, injunctive proceedings and transformation of Community trademarks into national trademarks and the future ICANN Regime on gTLDs as well as the most important decisions from both national courts and the ECJ.

In addition, it comprises a section on the recent amendments in appeals procedures at the Austrian Patent Office (ÖPA) including the brand new opposition proceedings entering into force on 1 July 2010.
The book presents an up-to-date overview of Austrian law and pertinent decisions by the European Court of Justice.

The author, Egon Engin-Deniz, is partner at CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz and head o the Intellectual property, copyright and media department. Egon Engin-Deniz is the head of the pan European CMS IP Practice Area group.
