Real Estate and Construction Law: One of Austria’s leading teams appoints Mariella Kapoun as new attorney

Mariella Kapoun (30) has been a member of the Vienna CMS team for three and a half years as a real estate and construction law expert. With immediate effect, she will continue her work for national and international clients as a registered attorney and strengthen her focus on real estate transactions, construction projects, construction litigation and new technologies in the real estate sector.

From the very beginning of her legal career, Mariella Kapoun focused on this area, in which she now offers a broad range of legal advice. She focuses primarily on the real estate and construction industries, litigation and arbitration. She advises on complex real estate transactions and development projects, as well as on architecture law and construction contract law, including litigation.

Due to the increasing digitalisation of this area, PropTechs and Blockchain technologies in the real estate sector are a further focus of the Vienna-born advisor, who is also a member of the Austrian Society for Construction Law and Economics (ÖGEBAU).

Mariella Kapoun completed her law studies at the University of Vienna in 2014 and passed the bar exam in 2017 with excellent results. Before joining CMS, she worked as a trainee lawyer at a prominent Viennese law firm.

Mariella Kapoun’s passion for real estate and construction law is evident in numerous internal and external lectures. In autumn 2019, she will also begin lecturing at the University of Applied Sciences Vienna as part of the master’s programme in real estate management.
