In Bel­gi­um, the on­line gambling sec­tor has ex­per­i­enced sig­ni­fic­ant growth over the last few years, des­pite the re­strict­ive policy put in place by the au­thor­it­ies. Ac­cord­ing to some com­ment­at­ors, this growth can to a large ex­tent be ex­plained by the in­tens­ive.

Im­port­ant leg­al changes in Bel­gi­um's health­care sec­tor
A new law was ad­op­ted on 30 Oc­to­ber 2018 con­tain­ing vari­ous pro­vi­sions on health. This law con­tains amend­ments to dif­fer­ent reg­u­la­tions in the health­care sec­tor. Some of the main changes are as fol­lows. Vari­ous as­pects of the law of 7 May 2017 on clin­ic­al tri­als.

Cur­rently, when com­ing to work in Bel­gi­um, non-EEA na­tion­als must sep­ar­ately ap­ply for a work per­mit, which is re­viewed by the Re­gion­al Pub­lic Ser­vices (re­gion­al com­pet­ence), and for a res­id­ence per­mit, which is re­viewed by the Im­mig­ra­tion Of­fice (fed­er­al com­pet­ence).
