Borislava Pokrass is a senior associate in the Energy, Projects and Construction (EPC) department.

Borislava has significant experience in energy regulatory and procurement matters. She has also been part of the teams performing legal due diligence on various matters relating to the energy and climate change and finance sectors. Borislava has worked for numerous renewables producers in Bulgaria as well as several international energy investors.

Since July 2021, Borislava has been on secondment with one of our key clients, EKO Bulgaria, part of the HelleniQ Energy Group, where she acts as general counsel working on a very broad spectrum of legal matters, including energy, real estate and construction, corporate, day-to-day commercial issues, public procurement, regulatory and M&A.

  • EKO Bulgaria, one of the top five fuel retailers on the market, on its day-to-date operations, including acquisition of petrol stations, advice on regulatory matters, real estate and construction, various corporate and commercial matters. 
  • Enel Green Power, the renewable energy arm of Italy’s Enel Group, on the sale of a 42MW wind park in Bulgaria to the Switzerland-headquartered energy company MET Group.
  • Malta-based ACF Renewable Energy, a subsidiary of ACWA Power, BlackRock and Crescent Capital, on the sale of its 60.4 MWp photovoltaic (PV) power plant in Bulgaria, the Karadzhalovo power plant, to Enery Development GmbH, an Austrian investor and project developer in the renewable energy sector.
  • Vier Gas Transport and its subsidiaries in the preparation, application and bid processes of a public procurement procedure held by ICGB AD.
  • A company that provides high-quality turnkey PV plants, designed and engineered in Germany, to end investors internationally, on regulatory matters regarding Bulgarian renewable energy legislation and developments, and on the development of PV projects and their potential subsequent sale.
  • Svilengrad Solar on the development of one of the largest Bulgarian photovoltaic green-field projects in Bulgaria.
