Jenia is a Bulgarian qualified lawyer, practising as a Senior Associate in CMS Sofia where she heads the Real Estate Practice Group. She has considerable experience in Bulgarian EPC, real estate and commercial matters. She is a key member of our energy team with substantial experience in renewables, infrastructure and projects.

Jenia assisted Tishman Management International in negotiating and signing of a long-term lease agreement with an anchor tenant for premises in the Sofia Airport Center office building. She has also advised a real estate fund manager focused on European markets in relation to their retail park development in Bulgaria. Work included termination of a lease agreement with a key tenant, negotiation and signing of a lease agreement with a local franchisee of a supermarkets chain and the associated contractor and escrow agent agreements.

Jenia was a member of the working group that helped the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works in the preparation of the new road infrastructure legislation. She coordinated the preparation of a comparative study for the Bulgarian Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works on the expropriation procedures in Europe, aimed to support the Ministry in introducing the legislative amendments required to facilitate the implementation of its large roads infrastructure projects.
