Frankfurt/Main – Frankfurt-based SME investor Halder has acquired a majority stake in Drumag Fluidtechnik of Bad Säckingen and EPH Elektronik of Besigheim-Ottmarsheim as part of a succession plan. In addition to the two German locations, the group has operations in Switzerland and Lithuania. The parties agreed not to disclose financial details of the transaction.
A CMS team headed by lead partner Dr Oliver Wolfgramm advised Halder on legal aspects of the acquisition. The Frankfurt-based private equity and M&A team headed by Wolfgramm has advised Halder on a regular basis for a number of years, most recently on the sale of the Wback Group in February of this year.
Halder has been active as a private equity firm in the German-speaking region since 1991 and has provided 40 SMEs with equity capital for succession and growth in this period. Halder supports its portfolio companies in their international expansion and helps them to develop their strategy and business model. It also provides funding for expanding capacity and financing acquisitions. The equity interest taken in Drumag Fluidtechnik and the EPH Elektronik Group is the second investment by the Halder VI fund.
Drumag has over 100 years of experience in pneumatics, hydropneumatics, hydraulics and proportional technology. The company develops, produces and optimises application-specific systems in the areas of power, control and motion. EPH’s portfolio encompasses power and control electronics in various designs, including rotary drive units with motors and geared motors. The customer sectors served include mechanical engineering, aviation and the packaging, automation and medical technology industries. The companies in the group supply around 2,000 customers, ranging from large international corporations to SMEs.
