The British people have voted to leave the European Union. No European Union Member State has ever left the EU so the process of withdrawal is untested. Effecting a successful “Brexit” will involve disentangling the UK electricity sector from complex politico-legal, financial and other relationships and obligations. Prior to the referendum the UK government stated: “a vote to leave the EU would be the start, not the end, of a process.”

This post-referendum seminar will take stock of the landscape for the renewables sector as the UK begins a major process of constitutional change. It will also include an interactive Q&A.

The seminar will be led by Munir Hassan a partner and Head of Clean Energy at CMS UK. Munir has been leading on CMS' comments on the impact of Brexit in the energy sector and recently hosted a very well attended seminar, which received excellent feedback, on the issues arising for the sector. Due to Munir’s timely visit to Beijing, we would like to offer you the opportunity to hear from Munir on the latest position in the UK and EU following Brexit, and to ask any questions you may have on this hot topic, which are relevant and interesting to your business.

The seminar will be delivered in English.

Places are limited so please be sure to register today to avoid disappointment.
