Intellectual Property Protection under the New PRC E-Commerce Law

The PRC E-Commerce Law (the “E-Commerce Law”) took effect on 1 January 2019. It is China’s first comprehensive legislation in the E-commerce field and contains regulations on many aspects relating to E-commerce including the protection of intellectual property (“IP”) rights on E-commerce platforms. The article summarizes some key issues concerning IP protection under the new E-Commerce Law.
