Andrea Dřímalová is a senior associate in the Commercial, Regulatory and Disputes team at CMS Prague. She specialises in employment and data protection law. 

On a day-to-day basis, she advises major international and local companies on a wide range of legal issues regarding employment law, including employment contract negotiation, internal by-laws, restructuring, incentive compensation programmes, as well as dismissal strategies including individual and group terminations. She also has experience with internal investigations and represents clients in court proceedings.  

As part of her practice, Andrea also supports clients on various data protection matters including the implementation of data privacy regulations and employee privacy, the development of GDPR policies, general compliance with GDPR, drafting agreements between data controllers and data processors, as well as assistance with all types of employment-related data protection cases

  • A company that develops, simulates and tests all types of powertrain systems on setting up a contract with new executive director and on an intra-group transfer of employees from one legal entity to another.
  • A German luxury car manufacturer on various employment issues such as investigating an employee, a senior employee termination strategy, and reviewing a template framework agreement for employment agencies in several jurisdictions. 
  • A sales engagement platform on day-to-day employment matters, employee benefits and internal policies.
  • A commercial vehicle technology company on a change of executive director from both a corporate and an employment perspective, including a performance (service) agreement for the new executive director. 
  • A Japanese multinational pharmaceutical company on an extensive investigation of employees involving compliance issues regarding the use of pharmaceuticals, as well as another investigation relating to an alleged misuse of funds. 
  • A leading European pet food company on COVID-19 related employment matters including managing its workforce during the pandemic, health and safety measures, GDPR issues as well as on the relocation of part of its business to new premises in another city.  
  • A leading global risk and reinsurance specialist on the revision of template employment agreements and on competition issues regarding a new employee acquired from a competitor, as well as with several termination cases in the Czech Republic.
