Berlin – CMS Hasche Sigle begins 2012 by appointing twelve new partners.
The start of the year also saw the roll-out of a new career model designed to provide more promotion opportunities and boost transparency through a series of individual career steps. Associates can now be considered for appointment as Senior Associate from their third year onwards, and can become Counsel after five years. In addition to the position of equity partner, there is now also the chance to become an associated partner with significant responsibility and long-term prospects within the firm.
Managing partner Dr Hubertus Kolster welcomed the new partners: "I'm very pleased with this positive start to the year and would like to extend a warm welcome to the firm's new partners. CMS Hasche Sigle has outstanding junior talent. We are delighted to be strengthening our innovative case work by making these highly qualified lawyers partners."
Despite a challenging economic environment, the firm gained further market share through major instructions in 2011. All the firm's key parameters reflect positive trends, Dr Kolster continued. The appointment of these partners in seven practice areas will further strengthen the leading position held by CMS Hasche Sigle, he added.
"The new career model now provides high-flyers with even better opportunities in our firm," said Dr Kolster, addressing the promotion of younger lawyers. "Our junior lawyers appreciate working directly on client matters and being given responsibility at an early stage. We are deeply committed to training and development, as well as creating attractive career prospects. For several years now, the firm has quite rightly been highly ranked in surveys analysing the popularity of employers in Germany," continued Kolster. He added that CMS Hasche Sigle intended to further consolidate this excellent position.
