CMS Hasche Sigle advises AFINUM on sale of d&b Audiotechnik

Munich – AFINUM Fünfte Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG (AFINUM) has sold Swabian loudspeaker manufacturer d&b Audiotechnik to private equity investor Odewald & Cie. The management of d&b audiotechnik retains a stake in the company. The purchase price was not disclosed. The transaction is currently awaiting approval from the competition authorities.

d&b audiotechnik is a world-leading manufacturer of professional sound systems in the upper quality segment. The global customers of d&b audiotechnik include production and rental firms in event management and multimedia, theatres and opera houses as well as radio and TV productions. 
AFINUM acquired d&b audiotechnik in 2007 as part of a management buy-out. d&b audiotechnik has been profitable in recent years and has grown significantly faster than the industry average. The company generated sales in the mid-double-digit million euro range in the 2010 financial year and currently employs around 200 people throughout the world. 
With offices in Munich, Zurich, Vienna and Hong Kong, AFINUM Management GmbH was established in the year 2000 by Dr Thomas Bühler and Dr Gernot Eisinger.
