CMS Hasche Sigle advises Amandla on sale of department store in Lemgo to Hamborner REIT

Düsseldorf – Amandla International GmbH & Co. KG has sold the former Hertie department store in the East Westphalian town of Lemgo to Hamborner REIT AG. The property is in a prime location and offers some 4,600 square metres of rental space.

A team from CMS Hasche Sigle led by Dr Ernst-Markus Schuberth and Thomas Gerdel advised Amandla on contract and tax law aspects of the transaction.

Amandla originally acquired the property in October 2009. Following refurbishment, fashion retailer C&A opened a new branch in the building in April 2010. The other half of the property was leased to Hennes & Mauritz, with its new branch scheduled to open in November 2010.
