Stuttgart – Following the acquisition of the Aenova Group by funds advised by BC Partners, completed a few weeks ago, Aenova has signed a purchase agreement to acquire the shares in the Temmler Group. Aenova is a world leader in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. The parties have not disclosed the purchase price. The acquisition is currently awaiting clearance from the competition authorities.
A team led by lead partners Dr Udo Simmat and Dr Tobias Schneider advised Aenova and BC Partners on all aspects of the international transaction. Working on a very tight schedule, the team of experts provided lead support for the deal, acting together with firms from the CMS organisation in Switzerland and Italy and with McCann FitzGerald Solicitors in Ireland on due diligence. Private equity firm BC Partners has been a client of CMS Hasche Sigle for many years.
The Temmler Group is an international pharmaceutical company that has positioned itself in recent years as a strong full-service provider in pharmaceutical contract manufacturing via a number of acquisitions. With seven production sites in Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Ireland, the Temmler Group generates sales of some EUR 170 million and has around 1,000 employees.
