CMS Hasche Sigle advises Lielje Group on bidding process and sale of rehab clinic in St. Peter-Ording

Leipzig – The Lielje Group, an alliance of specialist clinics, has sold its Nordsee Reha-Klinik I in St. Peter-Ording to the Fuest Group. The acquisition and execution of the purchase agreement, which was certified by a notary on 23 July 2010, are subject to consent by the shareholders' meeting, advisory boards and management trustee of the vendor.

A team from CMS Hasche Sigle led by Rolf-Christian Stratz and Dr Jörg Lips advised the Lielje Group on all aspects of the transaction. Prior to the sale, the CMS team advised the client on preparing and conducting the entire restricted bidding process. CMS Hasche Sigle also acted on behalf of the Lielje Group with regard to a specialist clinic project in the Federal State of Lower Saxony in May 2010.

Nordsee Reha-Klinik I in St. Peter-Ording is a specialist clinic for rehabilitation and post-hospital curative treatment which currently has more than 100 full-time employees. The range of indications includes psychosomatics, internal medicine/lung disease, dermatology, ENT/tinnitus and orthopaedics. The buyer intends to rename the clinic "Strandklinik St. Peter-Ording" and increase the number of beds from 201 to 261.

The neighbouring Nordsee Reha-Klinik II remains part of the Lielje Group alliance. Going forward, the contract partners have agreed on cooperation between the future Strandklinik and Nordsee Reha-Klinik II. This will include sharing on-call technical services and the provision of catering services to the Strandklinik by Nordsee Reha-Klinik II.
