CMS Hasche Sigle advises Lielje Group on sale of Hoher Fläming rehab clinic

Leipzig – The Lielje Group, an alliance of specialist clinics, has sold the Hoher Fläming rehab clinic in Belzig, near Berlin, to Oberlinhaus. Oberlinhaus has acquired the clinic via its wholly owned subsidiary “Reha Klinikum ‘Hoher Fläming’ im Oberlinhaus gGmbH”.

A team from CMS Hasche Sigle led by Rolf-Christian Stratz advised the Lielje Group on all aspects of the transaction.

The Hoher Fläming rehab clinic specialises in orthopaedics, rheumatology, psychosomatics and post-hospital curative treatment. It has 243 single rooms and 124 employees. The clinic is used by pension schemes, statutory and private health insurance companies and employers' liability insurance associations. The purchase agreement is currently awaiting board approval by the Lielje Group; user organisations also have to give their consent to the transfer of healthcare contracts.

The Lielje Group is an alliance of eight specialist clinics (after this sale) and two care homes located throughout Germany, with a focus on the northern, central and eastern regions. The Group has more than 1,500 employees.

Oberlinhaus is a church-based welfare organisation located in Potsdam. Employing 1,400 people, Oberlinhaus provides services around rehabilitation, education and healthcare.

The purchase price was not disclosed.
