CMS Hasche Sigle advises on sale of ICIDO GmbH to ESI Group

Munich – ESI Group of France has acquired Stuttgart-based ICIDO GmbH, a European leader in virtual reality and virtual engineering. The seller is a group of private equity investors.

A team led by lead partner Dr Ulrich Springer advised the sellers, including PE investors Cipio Partners, HeidelbergCapital, LBBW Venture Capital and VCG Venture Capital, on all aspects of the transaction.

ICIDO GmbH was established in 2000 with the objective of marketing and commercialising high-tech research from the Fraunhofer Institute. Its work was recognised in 2003 when it was named "Startup of the Year". The company's solutions provide digital decision-making support for measures to cut costs and boost sales. ICIDO GmbH's customers include companies such as Audi, Airbus, BMW, Boeing, Bombardier, Caterpillar and John Deere.
