CMS Hasche Sigle advises the government of the Federal State of Brandenburg

24/04/2013

Berlin – CMS Hasche Sigle has advised the State Agency for Properties and Construction on a four-year bidding process. The objectives were the project award and contract negotiations through to appointment of the contractor for building and operating a complex government building in Potsdam. The construction phase itself is expected to last about two years. This public private partnership (PPP) project involves operation of the building over a 30-year period. The relevant contracts have now been signed.

A team led by real estate experts and lead partners Andreas J. Roquette and Dr Matthias Kuß advised the State Agency on all legal aspects of the project from the start.

Around 460 employees from the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Women and Family and the Ministry of the Environment, Health and Consumer Protection will be housed on five floors after completion of the new building at the Henning-von-Tresckow-Straße site. Overall, the office complex will offer around 10,000 sq m of space.

The total investment and financing costs amount to some EUR 57 million. Operation of the building over a 30-year period alone is worth approximately EUR 25 million. Construction work starts in the autumn of this year, with completion scheduled for mid-2015.
