CMS Hasche Sigle again advises Asian Bamboo AG on capital increase

Hamburg – Asian Bamboo AG has successfully placed 1,400,000 shares with selected investors as part of a capital increase. The gross proceeds of the issue amounted to around EUR 43.4 million. The new funds are earmarked primarily for leasing additional plantations. The main shareholder, Green Resources, also sold a further 1,000,000 Asian Bamboo shares from its own holdings to investors.

The new Asian Bamboo shares are being offered to institutional investors in a private placement, subject to exclusion of the right of pre-emption. The final scope of the capital increase and the issue price will be determined through accelerated bookbuilding.

Asian Bamboo is one of the world's leading producers of moso bamboo stems and bamboo shoots. Bamboo stems are used primarily in scaffolding or as a material in the production of pulp and paper, as well as floor coverings and furniture.
