CMS Hasche Sigle construction law experts publish "Handbook of Construction Time"

18/03/2010

Berlin – Two lawyers from CMS Hasche Sigle are major contributors to the first edition of the "Handbook of Construction Time" [Handbuch Bauzeit]. Andreas J. Roquette, construction law expert and partner at CMS Hasche Sigle, is joint editor of the 440-page work with specialist Dr Markus G. Viering and Stefan Leupertz, a judge at the Construction Division of the Federal Court of Justice. The interdisciplinary team of authors comprises construction management professionals, technical experts, lawyers and judges and includes construction law expert Dr Andreas Otto, a partner at CMS Hasche Sigle.

Delays and construction schedule overruns are among the key problems in construction projects. The legal complexity surrounding this area is compounded by the interplay of structural engineering, building management and law. The authors adopt a multi-subject and interdisciplinary approach and use numerous case studies to illustrate the issues from a practical viewpoint.

Contents include:

Planning and managing construction progress
Financial and deadline impact of disrupted projects
Description of disrupted projects using practical examples
Dealing with construction time issues during the construction process

Roquette / Viering / Leupertz (Hrsg.): Handbuch Bauzeit, 1st edition 2010, 440 pages, hard cover, Werner Verlag, ISBN 978-3-8041-4648-8

The publishers and editors will be unveiling the book this evening (Thursday).
