CMS Hasche Sigle successfully advises Munich-based CHORUS Group on acquisition and financing of two photovoltaic projects in Italy

23/12/2011

Hamburg – The Munich-based CHORUS Group has successfully completed two photovoltaic projects in Italy with a total installed capacity of 9.5 MWp. Chorus signed the project contracts with solarhybrid AG some time ago and subsequently also the relevant finance agreements with a leading commercial bank. Now that the loan has been paid out, the whole project has been brought to a successful conclusion. Construction of the photovoltaic systems has been completed and they have been connected to the public power grid.
A cross-border CMS team led by Dr Niklas Ganssauge advised the CHORUS Group from the start on all aspects of designing and negotiating the project and finance agreements and on implementing the projects. Ganssauge commented: "We are delighted to have assisted with successful implementation of these projects for the CHORUS Group, once again working closely with our Italian CMS colleagues."
The CHORUS Group is a major provider of yield-oriented investment opportunities for private investors in the renewable energy sector. CEO Thomas Laumont said: "The success of these two projects, currently the biggest photovoltaic plants in Piemont, enables us to offer our investors high-yield investments in a very attractive market."
