CMS advises Coherent, Inc. on acquisition of InnoLight

Frankfurt/Main – Coherent, Inc., headquartered in Santa Clara, California, USA (Nasdaq COHR), has acquired Innolight Innovative Laser und Systemtechnik GmbH.

A CMS Hasche Sigle team from across Germany advised Nasdaq-listed Coherent, Inc. on all aspects of the transaction. The details of the deal were not disclosed.

Coherent is a world-leading manufacturer of lasers and optical components for industrial and scientific applications. It employs some 2,300 people in its global operations and generated sales of around USD 800 million in 2011. In Germany, the company has research facilities and sales offices in Dieburg, Lübeck and Göttingen.

Hanover-based InnoLight was established in 1997 and develops highly specialised lasers for scientific and industrial use.
