CMS advises Halder and Aqua Vital on takeover of Kalimba

Frankfurt/Main – Aqua Vital Quell- und Mineralwasser GmbH, one of the leading Providers of water dispensers for commercial customers in Germany, has acquired Kalimba NV from Lanaken (Belgium). Details of the purchase price were not disclosed. To date mainly active in Germany and Austria, Aqua Vital is continuing its strategy of internationalisation with the purchase of the Belgian competitor. Since July 2013 Aqua Vital has belonged to the Portfolio of the Frankfurt Halder Beteiligungsberatung GmbH.

An international CMS team led by partners, Dr Oliver C. Wolfgramm and Arnaud van Oekel, provided Halder and Aqua Vital with extensive legal advice on the takeover of Kalimba. The Frankfurt private equity and M&A partner, Dr Oliver Wolfgramm, assisted Halder in 2013 with the acquisition of Aqua Vital and in 2014 with the strategic purchase of the German competitor, revos.

Halder is a German institutional investor specialising in medium-sized companies. Halder currently manages a fund with a capital of EUR 325 million and a portfolio of seven equity investments.

The Aqua Vital company group with its registered office in Neuss distributes water dispensers. Kalimba, like Aqua Vital, also specialises in renting water dispensers in the commercial sector. The well-established brand name Kalimba will be continued after the successful integration into the Aqua Vital company group.
