CMS advises Heatweed Technologies on acquisition of WAVE portfolio

Stuttgart – Heatweed Technologies GmbH, a joint venture between German firm Max Holder GmbH and Heatweed Technologies AB of Norway, is acquiring the portfolio of Dutch company WAVE Weed Control with effect from 1 March 2017. This will make Heatweed Technologies GmbH the largest provider of weed control solutions in Europe. The purchase price was not disclosed.

An international CMS team headed by lead partner Dr Tobias Schneider advised the joint venture on all legal aspects of the transaction.

The operational headquarters of Heatweed Technologies GmbH will be located at the current WAVE site in the Dutch town of Veenendaal. Heatweed Technologies AB is the biggest importer of WAVE products in Scandinavia. The company's products use an eco-friendly hot water method to combat weeds.
