CMS advises Joh. Berenberg, Gossler & Co. KG on IPO of Chorus Clean Energy AG

Frankfurt am Main – CHORUS Clean Energy AG, an operator of solar and wind parks based in Neubiberg near Munich, has successfully completed its IPO. The shares have been trading in the Prime Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since 7 October 2015. The total value of the placement was EUR 119 million. CHORUS Clean Energy AG will receive around EUR 100 million from the IPO, which is intended to help drive the company’s growth in Europe.

A team from CMS in Germany headed by lead partner Philipp Melzer advised Joh. Berenberg, Gossler & Co. KG on all legal aspects of the transaction as underwriters’ counsel. Berenberg worked on the IPO as lead arranger in conjunction with BHF-BANK Aktiengesellschaft.

CHORUS is an independent operator of solar and wind parks and a full service provider for investment in renewable energy. In recent years, the company has invested in 67 solar and wind parks across Germany, Italy, France, Austria and Finland with a total value of around EUR 673 million.
