Frankfurt – NORD Holding Unternehmensbeteiligungsgesellschaft mbH (NORD Holding) has sold its majority stake in Heytex Bramsche GmbH to Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG). The sale is currently awaiting approval from Germany’s Federal Cartel Office.
A team led by lead partner Dr Oliver Wolfgramm advised NORD Holding on all aspects of the transaction from the start.
Hanover-based NORD Holding will remain a minority shareholder with a 10% interest. The Heytex management team has also acquired shares.
The details of the deal were not disclosed.
Heytex (www.heytex.de) is a leading manufacturer of textile-based print media and technical textiles. Print media are used in the advertising industry, e.g. for banners on building facades or translucent advertising media. With its broad product range, Heytex is the technology leader and European market leader in this core business. The outstanding feature of technical textiles is their functionality, with their properties including low flammability and water resistance. They are used in a range of applications, such as oil barriers or conveyor belts. In 2012, the company expects product sales of some EUR 80 million. The Heytex Group employs a workforce of around 300 at its three production sites – its headquarters in Bramsche (Lower Saxony), Neugersdorf (Saxony) and Zhangjiagang (China). Additionally, Heytex has sales offices in the US (Los Angeles and Charlotte), Brazil (São Paulo) and China (Hong Kong).
