CMS advises OCI on successful sale of Designer Outlet Centre Wolfsburg

Stuttgart – Europa Capital has sold its stake in the Designer Outlet Centre in Wolfsburg, Germany, to Bayerische Versorgungskammer (BVK), via a fund managed by Invesco Real Estate. Hans Dobke will retain a minority equity interest and continue to manage the Centre through Outlet Centres International (OCI).

A team headed by lead partner Dr Claus-Peter Fabian advised OCI and Hans Dobke on all aspects of the transaction. CMS has been advising OCI and Hans Dobke on corporate law matters and on real estate law in relation to operation of the Designer Outlet Centre for many years.

The Centre was opened in Wolfsburg in 2007 and comprises around 80 shops with total retail space of approximately 16,000 square metres. OCI developed the project and now manages the Centre. A third construction phase is already planned, which will add around 4,000 square metres and 25 shops to the complex.
