CMS advises automotive supplier MAHLE on acquisition of start-up O-Flexx Technologies

Stuttgart – The MAHLE Group has acquired Duisburg-based O-Flexx Technologies GmbH. Established in 2006, the start-up specialises in developing thermoelectrical generators. One application of this technology is to convert the heat from exhaust fumes into electrical energy. The purchase price was not disclosed.

A CMS team headed by lead partner Dr Tobias Schneider advised MAHLE GmbH on all legal aspects of the acquisition.

MAHLE is one of the world's largest development partners and suppliers to the automotive industry. With its products for internal combustion engines and their peripherals as well as solutions for electric vehicles, the Group addresses all the crucial issues related to the powertrain and air conditioning technology. In 2015, the Group generated sales of around EUR 11.5 billion and employed approximately 76,000 people. It has more than 170 production locations across 34 countries.
