CMS advises capiton on sale of Gess Group

Berlin – capiton IV GmbH & Co. Beteiligungs KG has sold its stake in Gess & Partner GmbH, an employment service provider based in Düsseldorf, to JR Holding AG. The buyer is a portfolio company of private equity firm AUCTUS Capital Partners. The purchase price was not disclosed. The transaction is currently awaiting approval from Germany’s Federal Cartel Office.

A CMS team from Berlin advised capiton on all legal aspects of the transaction. Lead corporate law partner Ralf Kurney and his team also advised capiton back in 2010 when acquiring the stake and have provided ongoing legal support in relation to the Gess Group ever since.

The Gess Group specialises in providing qualified temporary staff for projects. Its services also include finding professional and managerial staff for permanent positions in the office, industry, IT and medical sectors. The company operates throughout Germany via 19 branches and employs an average of 1,850 project employees.
