CMS advises on sale of employment service provider 7S to ManpowerGroup

Frankfurt/Main – Jena-based 7S Group, one of Germany's ten leading employment service providers, is becoming part of the international ManpowerGroup. The acquisition allows Manpower to join the top tier of German temporary employment firms. As a specialised service provider, the 7S Group will be integrated into the ManpowerGroup's global network. The purchase price was not disclosed.

A team from CMS in Germany led by Dr Martin Bell advised the 7S Group shareholders on all legal aspects of the transaction, which is still awaiting approval from the competition authorities.

The 7S Group has in excess of 8,000 employees and specialises in Healthcare, Hospitality, IT, Engineering, Aviation and Industry & Technology. The firm has more than 200 branches in Germany. Manpower operates in Germany at 160 locations. It has a workforce of over 27,000 and sales in excess of EUR 800 million a year. The Group has a strong focus on specific industries and skills through its Bankpower, AviationPower and Vivento Interim Services joint ventures. The acquisition of the 7S Group is part of a corresponding expansion strategy based on developing its position in specific sectors.
