CMS advises on the sale of the geodata service companies imp and JIE to the architectural and engineering service provider Sweco

Berlin – Sweco GmbH has acquired all shares in imp GmbH and its Serbian subsidiary JIE d.o.o.. Two of the previous shareholders of imp will remain working as directors for the company in future. The parties involved have agreed not to disclose any information on the conditions of the transaction. The acquisition still requires the approval of the antitrust authorities.

A CMS team led by partner Ralf Kurney provided comprehensive legal advice to the sellers with regard to the transaction.

With around 380 staff at ten sites in Germany, imp GmbH is primarily active in the fields of geodata management, surveying, 3D engineering and project planning as well as route planning. The company's services are particularly important for the rapid expansion of transmission grids as a result of the energy revolution.

Sweco GmbH, headquartered in Bremen, belongs to the Sweco group listed on the stock exchange in Sweden. This merger will extend the range and service spectrum of Sweco GmbH. Together, Sweco and imp aim to become a leading provider of architectural, engineering and environmental services in Germany.
