Born in 1982 in Leipzig. Started studying law at Eberhard Karls University Tübingen in 2003 with focus on International Economic Law and internships at international law firms and the department for Public International Law and International Organisations of the Federal Ministry of Justice. In 2006/2007 studied International and European Law at Paul Cézanne University, Aix-En-Provence, France, obtaining the degree Maîtrise en Droit International et Européen. First state law exam in 2010 at Tübingen University. Legal traineeship (Rechtsreferendariat) at Stuttgart Regional Court. Second state law exam in 2012. Subsequently started writing doctoral thesis in the field of international investment law under Prof. Dr Nettesheim, University of Tübingen on "The codification of a balance between investor rights and the right to regulate in International Investment Agreements". He was admitted to the bar and started working as lawyer at CMS Hasche Sigle in Stuttgart, Germany, in November 2012. In the course of his dissertation between August and December 2014 Visiting Fellow at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law, University of Cambridge, UK.
