Maximilian Hacker has more than ten years of experience in advising creditors, companies and insolvency administrators on insolvency and financial restructuring matters. He advises German and international creditors on the liquidation of collateral in turnaround situations and assists companies during insolvency proceedings under self-administration and distressed M&A transactions. Maximilian’s practice also includes the enforcement of or defence against the avoidance of debtor’s transactions in insolvency proceedings and liability claims. Maximilian furthermore advises German and international companies on the restructuring of financial debt.

Maximilian joined CMS in 2010 and became partner in 2021. In 2018, he worked in the restructuring and turnaround management department of an internationally operating advisor in London.
