Breakfast Roundtable | Preventing and minimising directors’ liability. Lessons learned from recent cases

Recent cases concerning directors’ liability, and forthcoming legislative changes, have once again brought to the fore the importance of corporate governance and the need for appropriate preventive policies in companies. The risk entailed in omitting such policies is increasingly great for directors.

This breakfast meeting will touch on the following, from an eminently practice perspective, and with the experience of our special guest: (i) identifying potential areas of criminal, tax, corporate, competition risk, etc; (2) setting out possible measures to prevent existing risk; (3) proposing mechanisms t control the effectiveness of preventive measures.

We will end by discussing some specific proposals to roll out certain procedure that we have found to be effective.
