CMS advises Kobus Partners on the acquisition of two photovoltaic projects in Andalusia

Deal Alert | December 2018

CMS has advised investment fund Kobus Partners on the acquisition of full control over two companies each owning photovoltaic projects with a combined installed capacity of 3.7 MW in Aznalcóllar (Seville) and Hornachuelos (Cordoba) respectively.

The deal, executed through Kobus Renewable Energy II FCR, forms part of Kobus’ drive to consolidate its wind and photovoltaic assets in Spain, boosting the fund’s profile as a leading light in the country’s energy market.

The deal is yet a further example of CMS’ dominant presence in the energy market, especially when it comes to green energy projects. In 2018, our energy team closed eight deals entailing the acquisition of around ten facilities with a combined installed capacity of 500 MW.

The team was formed by: María Guinot, Partner CMS; Rafael Sáez, Counsel CMS; Ignacio Cerrato, Senior Associate CMS; Carlos Tallón, David Porras, Tobías Kálnay, Javier Belmonte, Associates CMS; and Caroline Bresciano, Trainee CMS.
