CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre advised Muzinich & Co Limited on the structuring and the setting-up of Muzinich French Private Debt Fund. This is the first fonds de prêts à l'économie (fund dedicated to lending to the economy) established by Muzinich & Co Limited in France. The fund has been created in the form of a securitisation mutual fund (fonds commun de titrisation) by France Titrisation, as management company, and BNP Paribas Securities Services, as custodian. It is one of the first funds to incorporate the new rules introduced by decree 2014-1530 of 17 December 2014 amending the rules governing investment by insurance companies, provident institutions, mutual insurers and their unions in loans to the economy or similar securities.

Muzinich French Private Debt Fund will mainly invest in senior debt (in the form of bonds or loans) financing small and medium-sized companies located in France and Europe. The fund's first closing achieved 90 million euros in June 2015.

The CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre team which advised Muzinich & Co Limited was made up of Grégory Benteux and Jérôme Sutour (partners) and Magali Béraud, Damien Luqué and Katalin Zakhar (associates).
