CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre advises Sermeta Group on its refinancing

27/07/2017

CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre advised the Sermeta group on all tax aspects arising from the refinancing of its existing bank debt.

This has allowed Sermeta, the world leader in the design and production of stainless steel heat exchangers for gas-fired condensing boilers, to optimise its financial structure by reducing the cost of its debt and improving its terms, via refinancing arranged by Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, Arkea Banque, Banque CIC Ouest, BNP Paribas, Caisse Régionale de Crédit Agricole Mutuel du Finistère, Natixis and Crédit Industriel et Commercial.

For this transaction, the CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre team advising the Sermeta group on tax aspects comprised Jean-Charles Benois (associate counsel), Florian Burnat (associate) and Alexia Cayrel (associate).

The Sermeta group was also advised on financing and corporate aspects by:

  • Bretlim: Michel Peters (partner) and Régine Le Cann (partner); and by
  • De Pardieu Brocas Maffei: Yannick Le Gall (partner), Sébastien Boullier de Branche (associate counsel), Sonia Sassi (associate) and Charles Connesson (associate).

The banking pool was assisted by Hogan Lovells, with Michel Quéré (partner), Bruno Knadjian (partner), Sophie Lok (associate), Erika Hubert (associate) and Aurélien Périgois (associate).
