CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre and Clifford Chance advise Vitalia as part of the transfer of the Vitalia Group to Vedici

On 30 October 2015, the Vedici and Vitalia groups merged to create the second largest private hospital company in France.

At the same time Vedici purchased the Vitalia Group, with Vedici outsourcing part of the Vitalia Group real estate portfolio to Icade Santé through a sale & lease back. After Vedici's acquisition of the Vitalia Group, the combined group has a market share of approximately 12% of the private hospitalisation activity in France.

The new group has 14,000 employees and 3,200 physicians practising in 81 institutions, including 66 Medicine, Surgery, & Obstetrics institutions, and has consolidated turnover of 1.2 billion euros.

Clifford Chance advised Vitalia with a team led by Thierry Schoen (Partner), Simonetta Giordano (counsel), Raphaël Durand, and Katerina Drakoularakou on Corporate matters. The team consisted of Christian Lacheze (of counsel) and Bertrand Thibaut on labour law matters, Emmanuel Durand (Partner) and Clarisse Chapat on antitrust matters, François Bonteil (Partner) and Adeline de Ménonville on real estate matters, Mary Serhal (counsel), Noria Hitache and Julia-Barbara Michalon on financing matters.
