CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre co-opts three new partners

CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre announces the co-option of three new partners: Arnaud Hugot, Romain Marsella and Marc-Etienne Sébire.

Arnaud Hugot, 38, joined CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre in 2006. He is a specialist in Corporate-M&A. He assists industrial companies, investment funds and managers with all types of mergers & acquisitions and private equity transactions, both national and international. An economic and finance graduate of Sciences-Po Paris (for which he received a thesis prize in 2000) and holder of a DESS (post-graduate degree) in business law and tax from the Université de Paris I - Panthéon-Sorbonne (in which he came top of his year in 1998), he began his career in 2001 with Linklaters.

Romain Marsella, 38, joined CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre in 2000. He is a specialist in direct taxation, an area in which he provides consultancy and litigation services to French and international groups, particularly in the insurance field. A Master’s II lecturer at the Université de Paris I - Panthéon-Sorbonne, he is a regular speaker at group taxation conferences. He has a Master’s in corporate legal advice from the Université de Montpellier I (in which he came top of his year in 1998) and a CES (specialist diploma) in tax law (in which he also came top of his year in 1998).

Marc-Etienne Sébire, 39, joined CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre in 2011 as Head of Capital Markets. A specialist in market transactions, his role mainly involves bond issues, equity issues and derivative products. He worked, for example, on Bonduelle’s private placement, which launched the Euro PP market in France and was named best financing transaction of the year by the Club des Trente in 2013. The holder of a DESS (post-graduate degree) in the law and economics of banking and financial markets (Caen, in which he came top of his year in 1997), he is an ”avocat" (lawyer) in France and a solicitor in England and Wales. He began his career in 1999, practicing with Gide Loyrette Nouel (at the Paris and London offices) and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett (in New York).

The firm now has 100 partners out of a total of 380 lawyers.
