CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre represents Renault Vehicle Innovation for the PVI takeover
PVI, a specialist in the production of electric and alternative-fuel utility vehicles, was placed under judicial receivership last July to allow for a disposal plan to be put in place. In its judgement dated 6 February 2017, the Commercial Court of Melun chose the takeover bid from Renault Vehicle Innovation, a fully-owned subsidiary of Renault SAS, for PVI's assets and business activity. This takeover also covers PVI's ESCAL subsidiary.
This offer saves 94 jobs and falls within the Renault group's strategy for the development of its electric utility vehicle offering.
At Renault, Matthieu Bernat, Legal Manager for Europe, and Cédric Dubourgnoux, Financial Law Manager, oversaw this project.
CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre's team was led by Alexandre Bastos (Associate in charge of Restructuring/Insolvency) and composed of Guillaume Bouté and Opaline Langlois for Insolvency/Restructuring issues, Nicolas de Sevin (Associate) and Sandra Petit for labour law, Philippe Riglet (Associate) and Charlotte Felizot for real estate, and Céline Cloché-Dubois for environmental law.
PVI's court-appointed receiver is Maître Carole Martinez (Associate), Selarl Bauland, Carboni, Martinez & associés.
