Olivier Benoit elected President of the Hauts-de-Seine Bar Association

14/12/2012

Olivier Benoit has been elected President (Bâtonnier) of the Hauts-de-Seine Bar Association for 2013 and 2014. At his side will be François-Xavier Mattéoli, former President, Emmanuelle Féna-Lagueny, Yann Leclerc and the newly elected Aline Divo, all members of the Bar Association Council. After earning a post-graduate degree in corporate law in Lille and business administration certification from IAE in Paris, Olivier Benoit began his career with CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre in 1977. A partner since 1992, he is co-leader of the Competition Law & Economic Law/Customs practice. Mr Benoit has been a member of the French Association of Corporate Legal Advisors (ACE) since its founding. With his wife, Florence Benoit, he has also authored a writing and style manual for lawyers.* “Our Bar Association’s unique features mean that we can sow the seeds of reform in coming years, particularly as concerns practice standards and our scope of activity,” said Mr Benoit. “I believe that, while continuing to nurture our difference, our Bar Association should help to drive change in our profession, by actively participating in discussions by national governing bodies, in which we should continue to play a role.” *Pratique de l’écrit juridique et judiciaire (2nd edition, Paris: Editions Francis Lefebvre)
