Pro bono

Access to good legal advice is a right not a privilege.  That is why we encourage our lawyers to engage with pro bono work. This is also an opportunity for them to broaden their experience, widen their perspective and sharpen their legal skills.

Pro bono advice is at the centre of our CR programme. Our lawyers advise a host of individuals, charities, NGOs and community groups who otherwise could not access legal representation. Through our partnerships, we now provide more than 9,000 hours of pro bono legal advice each year.

We work with a variety of pro bono partners including Advocates for International Development, LawWorks and TrustLaw who broker pro bono projects locally and all around the world.

In London, we also work with the Islington Law Centre to provide a drop-in service for local residents and an advocacy scheme at the Royal Courts of Justice Advice Bureau.
